Walking tour through the historic city center
During this walking tour you will get to know more about Munich’s old town. We will enter the historic city center through one of the historic gates, the Karlstor, and will make our way to St. Michael’s Church, which houses one of the most important tombs of the Wittelsbach family: the Fairytale King Ludwig II. was laid to rest here. Afterwards we will pass by Marienplatz Square to get to the City Hall with its famous carillon and you will see Frauenkirche Church (Church of Our Dear Lady). The legend tells that there is a footprint of the devil at the entrance of the church. Finally we will take you to the square where the opera is located, the Feldherrnhalle (memorial to the Bavarian Army dating from the 19th century), the Royal Residence, St. Peter’s Church and some other secret corners and interesting places in the city center.
